The study of modern curricula as an integrated system benefits the educational community, especially teachers because it enables them know the objectives of the subject matter, which in turn gives them the ability to formulate educational objectives in a procedural formulation that can be observed, controlled and measure. It also helps them know the criteria by which the content is selected and organized; therefore, the great development in curricula and the transition from the old curriculum to the modern curriculum leads to the development and diversity of teaching methods. Their study is closely linked to teaching methods and styles, educational means, activities and various evaluation methods. Accordingly, educational curricula are the means for education to achieve its goals. That is why modern civilization depends to a large extent on this curricula to expand some mental and intellectual abilities, and establish some behavioural practices among learners so that they can live peacefully in an ever changing world. Hence, curriculums have become fully responsible for meeting the challenges of the era, given the two considerations that schools are an integral part of the lives of nations and their way of life, and that education should be a positive social force. Accordingly, educational curricula constitute the cornerstone of the process of development, modernization and renewal to achieve the greatest possible success of the educational goal. In this research paper, the researchers will review the concept of each of the educational curricula, their importance, and highlight the effective role that they can contribute to face the challenges of globalization, and the concept of teaching methods according to modern trends and their diversity in light of the requirements of development. They will discuss the challenges they face in light of educational globalization and ways to confront them, and methods of developing them with the aim of achieving an advanced and integrated educational future that suits the era, and reflects the hopes and aspirations of society in a manner consistent with the rapid changes occurring in various fields and areas of life.
