THE ROLE OF INTERNET TECHNOLOGY IN ENHANCING STUDENTS'UNDERSTANDING OF MEDICAL PHYSICS AND RESEARCH SKILLS

This study aimed to determine the role of internet technology in understanding medical physics students' comprehension of the scientific content and developing their research skills at the University of Wadi Al-Shatii in Libya. The descriptive-analytical approach was used by designing a questionnaire and distributing it to a sample of 183 undergraduate students.The results showed that most students (about 80%) use technology (computers, smartphones, the internet) frequently in studying medical physics. The most commonly used digital resources were educational videos, e-books, and scientific articles. Most students (about 90%) reported that the use of technology helped them better understand the scientific content.Correlation analysis revealed a statistically significant positive relationship between students' scores on the questionnaire and their cumulative grade point averages (r = 0.45, p < 0.01), indicating that higher levels of students' technology use are associated with higher academic achievement.In light of these findings, recommendations were provided to enhance the integration of internet technology in medical physics education, including developing curricula, providing training on research skills, and encouraging online interaction. These recommendations can contribute to improving students' understanding of the scientific content and developing their research skills.
