Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the role of transformational leadership in enhancing the effectiveness of crisis management. It clarified the conceptual framework of crisis management and its key principles, measured the level of application of transformational leadership dimensions, determined the degree of crisis management practice within the Al-Shati Financial Services Monitoring Department, and explored the nature of the relationship between transformational leadership and crisis management mechanisms. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, deemed suitable for research examining the relationships between organizational variables. The study population consisted of all employees of the Al-Shati Financial Services Monitoring Department, totaling 284 employees. A simple random sample of 54 employees was selected. The results showed that the monitoring department applies the dimensions of transformational leadership (attractiveness and influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration) to a high degree, as the arithmetic mean for the axis as a whole reached (3.8414). The attractiveness and influence dimension had the highest mean score (3.9500), while the intellectual stimulation dimension had the lowest (3.7255). The results also showed that the dimensions of crisis management (early warning signals, preparedness and response, containment, recovery, and learning) were practiced to a high degree, with an overall mean score of (3.7090). The recovery dimension achieved the highest mean score (3.8627), while the early warning signals dimension recorded the lowest (3.5176). The study revealed a statistically significant, moderate, positive correlation between the dimensions of transformational leadership and the effectiveness of crisis management, with a correlation coefficient of (0.676**). This indicates that the higher the level of transformational leadership implementation, the better the effectiveness of crisis management in the studied area
