THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY AND SCHOOL IN INSTILLING VALUES IN CHILDREN

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the family and school in instilling and shaping values in children، as well as to understand the importance of values and reveal the most important educational values that the family and school focus on. This was done through a survey of the opinions of 70 respondents from parents and an analysis of the content of Islamic education and Arabic language books for the first، second، and third grades of primary school. The study attempts to shed light on the methods used in instilling values in children. The study employed a descriptive approach based on the induction and analysis of studies and literary heritage that addressed educational values، answering the study's questions and achieving its objectives. The study concluded with the following results: Despite societal changes and cultural diversity، the Libyan family still plays a prominent and important role in instilling values in children.
